Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Ekonomi Manajemen Bisnis dan Akuntansi (LAMEMBA) successfully conducted an international training session titled “Key Insights for Peer Review Teams: Effective Strategies for Leading Successful Accreditation” on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. This online training session was attended by 372 assessors from various higher education institutions across Indonesia, demonstrating the high level of enthusiasm among Indonesian education practitioners in enhancing their accreditation expertise.

The training session featured Geoff Perry, Ph.D., Executive Vice President and Chief Officer, Asia Pacific at AACSB, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Perry shared valuable insights and best practices from AACSB’s extensive experience in accreditation processes, providing Indonesian assessors with international perspectives on leading successful peer review teams.

This collaborative training program represents a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between LAMEMBA and AACSB, serving as a concrete follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two organizations. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of Indonesian assessors by incorporating global best practices in business and management education accreditation.

The training focused on essential strategies for peer review teams, including effective leadership techniques, comprehensive evaluation methodologies, and proven approaches for conducting successful accreditation processes. Participants gained valuable knowledge on international standards and practices that can be applied to enhance the quality and credibility of accreditation activities in Indonesia.

The overwhelming participation of 372 assessors from across the nation reflects the strong commitment of Indonesian higher education professionals to continuously improve their expertise and align with international accreditation standards. This digital format enabled widespread participation, allowing assessors from remote areas to access world-class training without geographical constraints.
